Every year, the MidPoint Music Festival (MPMF) brings to Cinicnnati bands from across the nation. Bands used to have to fax to the festival organizers a hand-drawn stage layout of what instruments and hookups they needed on the stage. The faxes were often unreadble, and would sometimes get misplaced.
Transmissions leveraged its expertise in user interface design, database, and graphic design, to develop a database driven Flash application to handle the input and display of a stage layout. An easy to use web-enabled interface with a powerful relational database back-end enables bands to input their desired stage layout from anywhere. MPMF staff can access and print the layouts on demand.
This advanced tool and its methodology dramatically decrease the time, and errors involved in processing stage layout information, and setting up the stages in the various festival venues.
