Zest.com 2005-2007 Procter & Gamble needed a simple and energetic web site for their family of Zest soap products. Two apparently contradictory constraints on the design were to have a high level of branded graphics while, at the same time, keeping the site accessible to consumers, many of whom with 56k modems.
Keeping with the traditions of the past Zest web sites, the new flash site
focused on
the product line up as well as a few tips and extras. Flash was used
for its interactive and animation strengths. To reduce the initial load time
on the consumer,
the site loads all the content and animation dynamically. The site
design is a reflection of Zest's packaging, its high energy and saturated
colors. The user experience is still one one would expect from a Flash based
site, but the load times are not noticeable because of the modular design
of the site.
The result is a site that conveys Zest brand while still being accessible to consumers regardless of their connection speed to the internet.
