Zest for Adventure was a PR campaign for Zest soap, that featured an adventure man who travelled around the country and captured his weekly adventures in a multimedia blog.
The challenges were multiple and involved designing a branded, modern, and intuitive user interface, and efficiently integrating weekly text, photo, and video updates on the web.
The site branding involved three initial concepts(see on the right) from which a final design evolved. The technical solution was an XML-based flash application integrating text, video, and graphics. The solution enabled quick and cost effifcient site updates through minor weekly changes in the XML (a text based file) and the addition of content asset files to the server. The user interface combines a map of the adventure man's location, a list of entries, streaming high quality flash videos, and text entries, all synchronized to let the visitor share in the adventures.
